If you think that 17 degrees outside will cool the bedroom down you are wrong. I did not turn the aircon on- all windows were open save for those the rain tried to get into the house- but it was a nice 28 inside in the morning. But the steady sound of the rain was nice and made me sleep relatively well. Of course, there´s still hubby twisting and turning like a haywire windmill whose agenda must be to wake me up regularly. I suggested to open the blinds, but hubby was not able to find his sleeping mask (which I think our vacuum cleaner has eaten some time ago). Besides, I hate to wake and see an elderly Zorro snoring next to me. I tore open all windows during day. Still 25 in the bedroom, even though outside we never made it over 20.
Yesterday hubby came back from family number one and told me he´d do go-cart racing with Oscar today. I told him to better book a slot, but of course no such thing. The two had lunch at McDonalds then went to the cart stadium. Took them almost an hour to get there only to find out that booking was obligatory. Oscar was disappointed, next try will be at the beginning of the holidays. Hubby was all excuses when back home, but I told him straight to his face that it was solely his fault. It´s not the first time he screwed things up this way, and the way I know him it won´t be the last.
But there are good news, too- we have a brand-new coffee machine. Not the fancy one hubby had wanted, but I am not ready to spend 1200 euro on a thing that will die after four years, as have all our machines. I opted for the one who did well in tests, and that has to do. Not that one gets a acceptable one under 800 euro. Now we will wait and see. Today´s coffee was not satisfying, I will have to read the instruction properly, but not today. But husband was happy, even though the coffee from our tiny capsule coffee maker was very tasty, as was the tea I enjoyed for breakfast.
Also hubby´s new printer has arrived, as well as two parcels from Amazon. One for me, one for daughter dearest, who really thought it necessary to order a can opener via Amazon. I don´t get it-don´t they sell this thing in shops nearby? High traffic in our small road, even more so because one of the neighbours intends to sell his house, and lots of wannabe-buyers are viewing the object. One day one of the cars will mow down Hermione, neighbour´s oldest cat. She is sick, she can´t walk properly anymore, her ears are a bloody mess, at least what´s left of them, she is indeed a poor kitty who tends to sleep amidst the street. Maybe because she does not make it over the garden fence anymore, but neighbour does not care...
