Two instead of one

Husband dearest is in his element- tomorrow we will have two grandsons at our house. As a compensation for Cassian not being able to stay overnight yesterday, he invited the little one for another, last, bathing day. We might be up to 34 degrees, so it´s fine with me. Who wants to spend days like these inside the house! Hubby will do spaghetti, the only food Oscar is used to eat except for cheeseburgers (which he won´t get here). Good thing is that it´s not me who will do the Bolognese sauce, that´s hubby´s job! Husband will pick our grandsons up around eight and get fresh buns for breakfast on the way. Might be that I will sleep in, this night I got up way too early for daughter´s early morning shift- it was 2.15! I had a cup of coffee and a cookie and was ready for the drive before daughter was. Back home sleep eluded me, and I read until six in the morning, before I finally dropped off- for less than one hour! I also managed to scare the newspaper deliverer by ripping the entrance door open the moment he was in front of our house at 3:30. Now that the Perseids are are approaching, he might get another nasty shock- if the weather is fine, daughter and I will put the sunbeds up next to our private street (less lights, less spiders from above). I vividly remember one cold but clear August night long ago, when we did rest on our sunbeds, waiting for the shooting stars to finally show up. It was the newspaper deliverer who showed up and soon left the place in a hurry, practically running off when confronted with three people coated in blankets staggering towards him as in a zombie movie. I swear, we staggered, because our back hurt so much after all that lying on hard cots! But watch out! Our newspaper deliverers come by car now, while the old ones came on foot, to spare their cars the myriad of potholes. Not that we end up under some car tyres!
I did not do much today except for cooking, doing the laundry and a bit of cleaning. As I said before, after getting up so early I am always dead on my feet for the rest of the day. I was not even interested in using the pool. Weather was not warm enough anyway, though weather forecast announced a warm and sunny summer day. Forget about it. It was clouded with short sunny periods. The laundry did not come into the house dry as it should be, but was still damp...
