Not funny
Cassian came, did eat his dinner (he had not eaten at all when at home), went to bed without protesting, helped me with housework and decorating today, did a before-lunch nap- and when we were at his parent's house, he turned back into the monster his father had described he was. And he was a little monster- bullying his brother, not behaving a tiny bit, not eating, maltreating their cat. He was loud, turned TV on at choice, did the same with Echo and the Christmas music box, preferably all three at the same time, and when he got dressed down, he began to wail. Honestly, if he did the same at our house, I would bring him back to his parents immediately. Until now we were lucky, but who knows. Now I understand, why Flavius left our house yesterday without protest- finally some quality time with his parents, without older brother bugging him!
No cookies done today, we had to do a lot of housework, then decorated the children's Christmas tree, which took a long time, because hubby brought the wrong one at first. He's the one who usually puts this one up. This year he only put the box into the conservatory and left. Cassian and I sorted the branches by length, but when I looked at the stem, I realised that this tree was bigger than the old one, but still had no clue where it came from. Once again husband mine searched the attic and found the tree we needed.
Sarmale were tasty this year- usually DiL forgets about salt and the like. And she had made a fabulous dessert- marzipan filled with chopped dates. Since hubby does not eat marzipan, I got his dessert, too. But in the late afternoon we called it quits, having had enough of older grandson's antics. DiL thinks that since Flavius decided that he is very well capable to talk, the older brother sees a rival in him. Before, Flavius was a babe. Now he is able to express his wishes and unfortunately dotes on granma and grandpa...
And now it's time to watch Adventsingen again. Makes me a bit melancholy, seeing younger colleagues of our school performing...
