Stove away the skis, buy a boat

It was raining today- not only a bit, but hard. And it´s not only raining down the valley, but up to almost 1800 metres! We got warnings that some flooding might be ahead. The fields around are already under water, hence the boat- I cannot walk across our farmer´s pasture to get to a friend, not even in wellies, which is not nice! Once again, hubby forgot to cover the only socket board I cannot reach, and caused a blackout. Oops, not one, but two... And there will be more rain, and the closer to Christmas the higher the temperatures! Doesn´t matter anymore, snow is all gone anyway!
Our conservatory is readied for Christmas- I am shocked! Usually we do the big cleaning frenzy in there two days before Christmas, but since there is not much housework to do otherwise and hubby has to help son tomorrow only, we excelled ourselves. Husband mine brought three big plants to the upper bathroom, so that we will have more room to eat on Christmas Day (ten adults and four children), and it does not look like a jungle but nice actually! Just what I told hubby- too much bathroom for not enough people! A small one would have been sufficient and way easier to clean!
I did a bit of baking, burnt my finger when testing the temperature of the jam then found that someone must have finished off the Nutella I needed for the last batch of cookies. Blessedly I found Kinder chocolate bars, cut them into pieces and simply stuck them into the dough. Worked well enough, problem solved! I crocheted a few rows then turned my PC on, to order a Christmas present for hubby, and a laser for removal of hair. Since getting older I seem to have more hair on my chin than on my head. So all presents are on their way or at home already, and I can swarm out to irk DiL number three. Daughter and I will visit the the family on Friday. Hubby is not sure yet if he wants to join or spare himself all the trouble...
