Idiots on two wheels

It's that day of the year again- Father's Day in Germany! I was afraid that the sound of bikes might wake grandson early, since the window of the bedroom has to stay stay open during night, but he slept like a log until seven. Maybe the cold night we had (six degrees) kept the bikers away from the roads for the most part of the morning, but around eleven they came thundering along in flocks- we have some very interesting mountain roads here, which need to be mastered by celebrating fathers. So each year at Father's Day we also have quite a few bikers, who end up in hospital (and some six feet under now and then). I wonder why our police does not do more monitoring of speed and alcohol level. That would be interesting, with a lot of driver licenses being taken! Maybe then there´d be less idiots on two wheels on the roads this time next year!
Hubby just told me that he'd be home early tomorrow- one rehearsal only! So I will leave grandson with him in the afternoon and do some clothes and presents shopping. Besides, I need a new bathing suit, the old one feels oddly tight. To worsen the situation, daughter and I have tried out a new recipe- soba noodles with chicken and creamy sauce. This tastes way too good, and we ate way too much again!
