Oh no, not again
...and so soon at that! Daughter just called to ask us, if one of us (that's always me) would bring her to early shift tomorrow morning. One of her colleagues called in sick...again. She already has taken two of his shifts. No wonder that airports do have lots of problems with staff members like this one!
I spent almost one hour trying to follow a knitting instruction on Youtube, then I gave up. This lady clearly does not know how to make a proper video- lousy instruction, shaky pictures, and, and... Since I need five quite small flowers for the jumper, I went to the crocheted versions- found one, did three flowers in ten minutes. Then hubby called for me to join him for lunch. Unfortunately I grabbed for the olive oil under the sink while talking to him, and sliced my finger on the plastic box. Bled like mad, even though it's not that deep a cut! Couldn't hubby have waited, until I'd finished the last two flowers? It's really hard to crochet with a bandaged finger, but flowers are done now!
I repotted the last of my chili plants, though none of them shows any signs of flowering. The tomatoes do, though I still do not know if they will produce fruits.
Last night's storm killed more of the begonias in my flower basket. I found two more stems on the terrace floor. Basket looks a bit tattered now. I will feed it some fertiliser, to let it grow replacement and make it beautiful again!
At the moment it is pitch-dark outside. Another thunderstorm with lots of rain, this time a stationary one, means that we have thunder and lightning since longer than half an hour, and no end in sight! Not that I was able to read a book without lights on at three in the afternoon, because this day was such a gloomy one! I hate days like these, reminds me of autumn coming soon!
