Hubby was off to a DiY market in the afternoon to look for a sink- I made the mistake of reminding him, that once upon a time he had intended to install a sink in ´his´ bacon room, so that he would not block the kitchen sink so often, as he did today. Means that now that he got one, I won´t see him tomorrow, up to the moment he will flood the room for the first time (there´s more to follow, I know him well) and I am to bring bucket and scrubber to clean up the mess.
I did the silliest thing today- I used up all eggs in our fridge, which were many. DiL brought ten perfectly boiled eggs for ramen. I never did perfectly noiled eggs all my life- either they are cooked to death or too runny. Today I did them in pairs, with the help of Alexa and a measuring tape, to see what size and cooking time will matter. I forgot to mention, that I took the eggs out of the fridge two hours before I started the test. Out of 14 eggs two were perfect- success, success! One was a real big one, cooked for seven minutes and thirty seconds. I had it in the pot together with a small one, which turned out hard-boiled- totally illogical. The other one was a small one cooked for eight minutes. I have learned my lesson- eggs apparently have a mind of their own, and if I ever need creamy ones, I will ask DiL to make them for me. And tomorrow we will have egg salad for dinner...
