Looks like the UK is the first country to allow the creation of babies using the DNA from three people. While they are discussing  about curing mitochondrial diseases this way, I vividly remember a bedroom scene in one of my favourite novels. As it seems, the author had a vision of what people were capable of doing many years later, save that her characters did it unintentionally, on a bed and for fun, while today it´s done under a microscope, and fun is certainly not involved. Both techniques are interesting, I´d say!
