Slightly warmer
At least it did not rain, temperatures rising up to twenty- hubby and I tried to get the pool water towards colourless. The problem was the sandfilter, which had not been backflushed before rainweather had set in. With robby, additional salt and chlorine tabs in combination with a backflushing and a throrough scrubbing with the new scrubber hubby had bought (after driving to four different shops) water is clean and salt master working again, and we are hoping that the warm weather they promised for the weekend will come this time. Each time we get leaflets we get a laughing fir in return. Those commercial chains aren´t what one would call flexible- it´s cold and rainy since seven sleepers day (with a few exceptions) but people are still supposed to shop thirst quenchers and icecream when all they need is mulled wine and a new parka for autumn. Well, seven weeks have almost passed by, it´s time for a change of weather!
I did what had to be done in the garden, which was mostly water the vegetables (located under the roof of the carport), pinch off the tomatoes and tie the wine up, so that hubby was able to mow the lawn- tomorrow there´ll be another rain day with cold, and all our neighbours started their lawnmawers, too. What a concert! Hubby was busy all day long, he loves to rush to and fro, while I was lazy mostly. But I managed to sort two more boxes out and can put the empty ones into the bathroom now, to store the towels. Still no secondhand Ikea Malm- I can afford a new one, but it would not blend in with the old ones, which are a bit yellowed. The place where the new old one will be located will get no direct sunlight, so I might have to wait forever for a new one get that special ´sunkissed´ colour!
Tomorrow I will have to start project ´get a dress for the wedding´. Not so easy when you are the exact opposite of slim, and there aren´t many clothing stores which sell oversizes! I always dread those shopping activities, but I guess that waiting until the last day will not remedy the situation! So wish me luck, please!
