Row, row, row the boat...

Driving to the airport in the morning was more manoeuvring across vast puddles of water- the rain we had during night should suffice for the rest of the month, alas, there´s more to come during the next days. And it was cold, yet I forgot my cardigan at home! Daughter and I wondered why so many lights were on in the buildings near ours, but a lot of people were up, checking cellars and garages for damage by water. I hate to drive under such awful conditions- it´s more like steering a boat and hard to keep the car-boat in lane while driving against time!
I did not hear hubby getting up at six thirty- at that time I slept like a log. Made it out of the bed at 7:30. First thing I noticed was idiot neighbour pumping out their swimming pool, steering the water straight to the undeveloped property next to his own. No wonder that no one seems to like this person!
It was a lazy day for me, less for hubby, but only because this man won´t keep still- must be on constant doping agents! I did the usual chores, cleaned the upper bathroom then took a long, relaxing aroma shower, finished all sudokus I was able to find in the dailies and added exactly seven pieces to the jigsaw- it was simply too cold in the conservatory. Then I "cooked" lunch (roasted cheese and ham sandwiches) and went to rest again. Hubby was off to bring Cassian his bike, so it was unfortunately I who had to run downstairs to accept what daughter had ordered from Amazon. No clue why delivery people want us to sign for small parcels while they put the big ones in front of the entry door and are off without even ringing!
BTW, daughter was off with my best pair of black ballerinas- hers were not water-proof, and it´s really hard to read the weather forecast in advance. I am pretty sure I won´t see them again :(
