No more water, please!
It has been raining very hard the last days. They had to open the flood gates of all hydro power stations along the river. Now the towpaths are flooded in some regions. As long as such preventative measures will avert more flooding it´s the best thing they can do- cyclists will have to use the vast number of bikeways along the streets. If they are apt to do- many of them will drive along the street itself, because they can. No statute here forces them to make use of the bikeways. Which idiocy is this?
Daughter and I made good progress with the jigsaw in the morning while being on Amazon watch, even though the conservatory was so cool that we had to bring in the radiant heater. Hubby, who was off before eight in the morning, having to tighten some screws at sister´s new entry door (can that woman do anything that involves a screwdriver and the like?), was concerned he might miss Amazon people delivering the fridge-freezer, because he had put aside a tip if they brought it into the house. Alexa had informed him at seven in the morning that it was on its way. Daughter and I had already cleared the buffet, a lot of the glassware in there going to the next flea market. No need to keep so many of them, when we mostly need champagne glasses. The buffet will wander into the conservatory. but first I will have to kill the huge euphorbia candelabra. A pity, but the tree, and it´s indeed a tree, has gotten too big anyway! Hubby needed more than two hours then for a new socket for the fridge. It was light on- light off in the conservatory and the living room- hard to work when you won´t see much of the pieces! But almost two thirds of the puzzle are done- only that now daughter will be off again. Next early shift is tomorrow, hubby is off at ten to St. Pölten, y train this time, and to keep me company a friend will come. She wanted to do us a shopping tour beyond the border, but no, thanks! I must be jinxed! The date of hubby´s trip wandered from Tuesday to Saturday, and only after I had set Friday for meeting my friend he, too, went for Friday. No day without family or friends...
