Hubby and I dawdled about all morning long- no housework to do, cooking postponed, because we still had gnocci in the fridge. Gnocci plus bacon, cheese and salad will make a sufficient meal. We had a short after-lunch nap then went to the old lady across the building site next to our house. I am pretty sure this will have been her last birthday party- the lady is all skin and bones, cancer eating away her life. Has been fighting it for more than five years now...
We came back home just for hubby to see his daily crime time thriller. I am definitely not thrilled about having to watch and might retire to bed early. Still have to finish the Rickman diaries, which are btw interesting but hard to read. Besides, I am a bit miffed about the last conversation at the party. Yes, our school system is bad. But there are worse. And nothing can be as bad as a country being led by a not exactly school dropout but a blighter who excels in beer tent speeches. Enough said...
