Monday blues
Monday is the day when hubby gets out of bed at eight, has his breakfast then is off to the shops for bargain hunting. Not so today. I was up at seven, prepared breakfast and hoped for a peaceful half an hour when husband mine showed up early. Yet at nine he was still at home. At ten, too. I got nervous and had a look at what he was doing. Ah, spring is coming, so he was reactivating his e-bike. All shopping was forgotten- I did not mind, since we only need half of the things my husband brings into the house, and it's cheaper anyway. While hubby mollycoddled his bike I started the big Lego cleaning. It was a run between kitchen and bathroom mostly- hot water and desinfectant combined with washing soda in the sink for cleansing, rinsing in the shower stall of the downstairs bathroom. Then I spread the mess on towels in the conservatory. I think Lego washing will occupy me for the rest of the week. I did not drive to the DIY market, because all that reading in bed started another problem with my shoulder, so that lifting my arm feels painful- not ideal for driving! I really should go and search for a time turner. Getting old and falling apart is annoying!
Hubby got quite agitated when I broached the problem with the table in the TV nook. The one he wanted to buy was not good enough all of a sudden. He never decided upon a new one. But I won't be toyed with- the table we have now is a bit too small, and hubby with his height plus the 5 centimetres added by the ever-present Crocs puts my beloved lamp in constant danger, especially now that hubby has hit his shin once too often and tends to shove the table aside! I did plough through the websites of furnizure shops nearby, but hubby did not like what I found.
Tomorrow more chaos will ensue: I have to bring my car to the car repair shop in the afternoon- hubby got the notice that repair will get done on Wednesday only (and promptly forgot to tell me). Since DiL1 will be admitted to the hospital for birth induction hubby also will have to pick Xaver and Oscar up at their respective schools and stay with them until number one returns back home. Highly probably he will stay overnight, because an induced birth usually takes longer. This might gift me a free evening, which is very much appreciated, though there´s another one on Friday, when hubby will be in concert again. I feel so biased (before next week will bring back chaos)!
