Aunt hunt...

...continues. After a night of too much of a good thing aka the frogs were at it again, and until three in the morning at that, I made myself breakfast. Hubby, deaf as he is, did not get much of the ruckus at the pond and had been up at seven. He was about leaving the house when he heard my cry of outrage, and since he was sure to not be the reason for it he quickly came to my aid. There were definitely more ants wandering the kitchen, and they had found a new way to get into the house for their explorations. Hubby searched for a nest near the kitchen windows. Removed the plants on the decoration table. Fact is that those tiny terrors completely ignore the ant trap, and I have not yet found a way to either lure them to certain death or efficiently scare them off. I do not even know what they are looking for. At first I thought they were after the sugar hubby so generously spreads over the countertop with each cup of espresso, but no. They run around like lunatics but aren't after sweets. Not yet, at least. At the moment I am killing about five, six of them per minute. Not that much, but makes a lot of victims during day. Of course, other things had to be done, too. I officially finished the exchange of the clothing- wardrobe is winter-free, the boxes are all packed away onto the top of it. Then I drove to the pharmacy, bought geranium for the zinc tub which still resides behind the house- there's a big, bad spider inside and many more around. And I have new clothes- two trousers, one blouse, a shirt. It would not hurt to lose a few pounds, so that this all would fit better. I am doing what I can. The biggest problem is husband mine. First question after lunch: what will we cook tomorrow. Or: you forgot to eat your lunch. I have warmed it up for you (while I intended to not eat at all). Seems he wants to feed me to death. He might succeed...
Luckily hubby was busy in the afternoon- mowed the lawn, went after the dandelions, started to pump the dirty water off the pool. And installed the hideous visual cover he had boughtz at Temu. Hubby thinks it´s funny. I went inside to hide in shame...

I finished the last of the honeycomb pattern- the wool was barely enough. Not much that will wander into the bin. Tomorrow it will be the red wool I will finish off, then one ball of beige, and moths or rather their offspring will have less to feed on, because all of my woolen shawls are kept in a moth-free box.
The studio is tidied, tomorrow it will be vacuuming only and doing the guest bed, before the boys will swarm the house. Not so keen about it, because of Cassian I will have to keep the windows closed during night due to the frog concert, yet I need the fresh air and some calming sounds from outside- our kamikaze frog does not fall into this category!
