Silent night
By relocating those idiot frogs husband mine achieved what I thought to be impossible- a night´s sleep without frog concert. Strange that no replacement came from neighbour's pond, where frogs live aplenty! Cassian slept until six thirty, woke me and we went down to prepare breakfast. At seven thirty the boys were off to kindergarten and I was quickly doing household chores- after all I needed to do a trip to Germany, to get toiletries. Unfortunately hubby had been very efficient at pool cleaning the day before, and just when I was ready to leave he insisted that I better pressurewash the pool before being off. Hate pressurewashing, hate hubby's wellies (mine went into the bin years ago), and the acid hubby has used to clean the pool I hate most. It was hot, I was drenched in sweat and water, had to redress before leaving, and when hubby brought the what-will-we-have-for-lunch into play I told him that I was not interested in cooking so he better search the freezer. We ended up with Fleischstrudel and salad, after I returned at lunch time. Soon after hubby went grocery shopping and I took a screw driver, tightened all screws I could find on my exercise bike and half heartedly exercised for a short time. At least it did not feel as if the bike intended to die on me any moment. T´was more like I was dying when exercising- it is too warm at the moment! But the next days I will barely be able to climb the bike with DiL and grandchildren in the house and number one and family coming for a visit, too. I am pretty sure that family number two will also show up at some point- everybody wants to have a look at young Konrad. But all that ruckus means no maypole for hubby this year:((
The pool is slowly, very slowly filling. With not enough rain during the season which is supposed the wet one, water table is very low at the moment. Hubby thinks it will be a week until pool is full. All other neighbours are doing the same- pumping out, cleaning, filling, in the hope that summer will be a nice one, not too hot, not as much rain as last year. I do hope, too, since we are to have Cassian and Flavius for the whole of July, save for Saturdays and Sundays. Speak of the boys- they will be here with their father in a few minutes. The family needs some of their pork meat that´s stacked in our freezer. I am pretty sure that there might be another attack on my well-deserved last night without grandchildren...
