New boy(s) in the band
When in bed at ten I turned the lights off to make myself comfortable, while outside a frog started a love song. Boy, that little guy must have been a lovestruck fool in need of a female, so loud he croaked! Hubby, who went to bed soon after me, was appalled. And a short while later there were two of those frogs, apparently in a duell. I only got the first one recorded, during the duell hubby was swearing so loud and I laughing so hard, that recording was impossible! If the same happens today I will try to record the ruckus. When sis and brother-in-law were here for a visit one little perturbator timidly started his love song but got frightened by too many people trying to get a glimpse of him. Love songs get easier done in the still of the night!
Otherwise the day was fine save for the idiot neighbour number one´s gig at six in the morning, when he tried to annoy the sleeping people around, as always. Best to ignore him and do your own ruckus after eight, when he is in bed! I had to bake Topfenstrudel for afternoon coffee with sister then did cannelloni with with minced chicken for lunch. Did sort out two bags with T-shirts and shorts and put the sweaters into storage boxes while cannelloni were in the oven, but wisely kept my favourite ones in the wardrobe. For cool days, which will surely come soon. May is the new April and the only month which has been to cool during the last years. I realised that my saline nosedrops as well as the ones for my allergies have run out. My nose is blocked, a feeling I dislike greatly. So clothes shop, nursery then pharmacy tomorrow. And regular nosedrops when I go to bed. Not the best solution, I know! Sister stayed for coffee and cake and did not go, before hubby served a snack- salmon, ham and bacon and little bread rolls we toasted at the table. And all that because BiL did not want to peel the asparagus he had bought at the weekly market in town. He will do so tomorrow and serve it for lunch- a clever way to save money! He is very good at it! So today he got a free snack and an invitation from hubby to the Bräustübl, where hubby, sis and BiL will drink beer and I will do the driving- I am not a beer lover! When we are out of luck my niece will join them. Luckily her brother still has work to do in Berlin, he´s the one who always eats and drinks way too much! At six thirty our visitors left and I dashed to my PC. So typical- nothing noteworthy to do all day long and barely managing the daily entry!
