Once again no sleep-in possible! Today it was the trash collection which rose me at five thirty. Usually Friday is the day the bins get emptied, but with Fronleichnam the bin men were one day late and one hour early in the morning. No fun to hear them driving along the neighbouring streets, waking idiot neighbour by doing so, who immediately began gardening. So I went down to the living room at six thirty, prepared breakfast and did a good twenty rows of knitting. I am already up to the armhole...
Hubby and I measured out the next terrace project, which will be a side wall made of wood or WPC to keep off the wind. The second won't need any impregnating- hubby hates painting! But he loves shopping. Has done it thrice today. He accidentally turned tomorrow's menue plan upside down. Instead of spanakopita we are to have kritharaki with chicken, because chicken was on special offer today. Accidentally, my ass! Husband has been studying leaflets for hours to start this coup! I still do not know how many people will be here for lunch. Honestly, I should hand the cooking spoon over to husband and do a bath day instead!
No lawn mowing can get done today- we forgot to bring the organic waste bin to the collection site, that's why it's full to the brim snd will stay so till next Tuesday. We watched our neighbour do the mowing instead- but only till his mower caught fire. That was impressive, I wondered if a fire brigade would arrive, because smoke all around! At least a tiny bit of action in an otherwise boring neighbourhood. BTW, my sneezing problem is allergy-induced. No problem during night because of the pollen protection grids. Out of the house- achoo! Blimey!
