I so knew it!

Our old insurance agent called today and told hubby that it was solely his fault that insurance got cancelled. Only that hubby had contacted more people in the neighbourhood with the same insurance, who have had a similar problem. Apparently in the three weeks we had a stand-in postman, a lot of letters did not get delivered. But contrary to our agent theirs did inform them about the problem. And the problem is, as I suspected already, the new red zone the houses in this neighbourhood are included all of a sudden. Less value of grounds and buildings, higher insurance rates, and only minimal money in case of catastrophic loss. That was definitely not what that idiotic agent had told husband mine. All she complained was that we had had too many damage cases (one each decade)- I know this, because I listened to the conversation. Hubby told the agent to fuck off (that's what I would have told her) end the contact, because he already made a contract with another company, which will pay at least thrice as much money for catastrophic loss as our old one and is not as pricy as expected. And that he will send a complaint to the old company, there seem to be dunderheads among their staff- which isn't even a lie. Hopefully this problem is solved...
Hubby and I both overslept today. Had breakfast, hubby was off grocery shopping, I did housework, then the neichbour who had snowed in yesterday evening was here again, this time for coffee and some cake. I swear the moment she manages to set foot into one´s house she will show up regularely. And I cannot even pretend to be not at home, because she can look straight through our windows. Blimey!
We had spätzle Romanian style (with meat balls seasoned with lovage paste). After a rest spent with reading I took my car and drove to Aldi. Had a nice conversation with a staff worker who finally showed me the way to the Doktorberg, where some of my grandmother´s relatives had lived yonks ago. Last time my sister was visiting we had talked about the place. Since she is two years younger than I she does not remember much but wants to go there anyway!
Back home I got my act together and sat down to do some knitting. More than half a sleeve is done now, more will follow tomorrow. I also began to sort the buttons for the name and the smileys, in case I will need more of them. I shop those at Tedi´s, which would mean another drive there necessary- don´t want! I do not know why I oppose knitting so much at the moment. My guess is that it strains the joints more than crocheting, but surely, there won´t be much difference!
