Looks nice
Today I did a thorough cleaning of the bedroom and the studio. Rearranged things, and what´s most important- since I gave away a big part of my wool I do not need the boxes on the shelves anymore. Boxes are now on top of the very old suitcase, containing toys our grandchildren will play with when they are at our house. Now those books I cherish most are on the shelves instaed- not exactly a feast for literature (those books are on the shelves in the corridor, though not all survived my latest clearing spree). But Tolkien and Storm Constantine among a few others made it into the bedroom- in case I feel bored when in bed I will have books to read. Last night I felt bored but was not able to read because it was three in the morning and husband needed his beauty sleep- no lights on between midnight and five, or ghost-hubby will show up with a sleeping mask- that's scarry, I can tell you! Something was rolling about outside with the strong winds and kept me from sleeping. Even hubby did hear it at some point and got up at five, to have a look at the situation. Well, too dark then! We both did so again after breakfast but did not find anything out of normality save for the door to the basement stairs not properly closed. Only that a door won't roll about...
After sorting books I unravelled the next attempt at Elsa's cardigan and started anew. Not as pretty as the first version, but it will have to do. Made it through half of the back until lunch time. We had leftover soup for lunch, I did a short rest afterwards but went down to the living room, when storm was back. I hate that strange feeling, when the walls start to push against the bed frame and the roof creaks as if dying on us! And it was so, so dark when more rain came in. Blessedly none of it made it into the house, I hope it will stay this way! Hubby was off in the afternoon to do more janitor work at sis's and niece's flats (niece now lives next to her mother's at the moment). I hope that hubby will take the power drill back home, because work should not happen at sis's flat alone! My artificial window is waiting for getting screwed onto the wall for almost a week now, and tomorrow a friend will come for a visit and I want that blasted thing up!
While husband was away I sat in front of the TV doing more knitting. Three quarters of the back are done now, the first piece of the front started. Now I wonder if my poor shoulders will bear up until the cardigan is finished or if they will act up at a most inconvenient time! Not that there are convenient times for such a thing to happen...
