Good morning!
I had overslept a bit, so when I finally dashed down to have breakfast I did not open the shutters, so I did not realise at first that sometime after five in the morning winter had decided to do a visit (hopefully a short one).

Since I had intended to do a shopping tour today I was not amused. Did a total cleaning of the upper bathroom. Took a lengthy shower. Finished Elsa´s cardigan, so that it could wander into the washing machine tomorrow. Cooked even though I did not want to. Had a nap after lunch. Okay, I napped for half an hour then turned to reading. Got up and made me a cup of coffee and did crossword puzzles. At three I finally read the weather forecast and knew it was now or never- we were supposed to get more snow during night. I quickly dressed for shopping and left for a tour to Germany. The snow was mostly gone, the streets dry. I got all things I wanted for Elsa´s nameday plus the larger straw wreath I had been searching for- need it for a fir wreath hanging down from the terrace canopy. If I will do one- prices for a big bundle of fir twigs was ten euros before corona hit. Now we are up to thirty, and the bundles became smaller. Finally out of the shopping centre I noticed that not only it was dark already but that it had started snowing again. I omitted the last shop on my list and went back home, a rather slow undertaking because of traffic jam for the first kilometres. It got better on the highway, but hubby was already worried. Ha, old men! Out of the house as they please, but concerned in case the wife tries the same! I don´t get it!
One more day with snow tomorrow, then the worst will be over. The nearer first of Advent is drawing the higher the temperatures- as always. I do not mind, I can live without negative temperatures. Birds aren´t amused about the weather either. We have hung bird fat balls, filled the bird feeders with sunflower seeds, I even did bird feed in small pots I set to places where cats would unlikely reach them. There was a lot of bird hopping to get to the much needed food this morning, and me standing guard, should a cat try to disrupt the idyll. Our current guest cat is very intent on catching our feathery friends!
