All set

Sunday St.Pölten, Monday hubby's birthday, Wednesday a tour to a Christmas sales exhibition they call Winter Wonderland, Thursday Advent wreath making. Too much excitement for my old body and too many dates to memorise! Hubby brought the Christmas lights up from the basement. Not the best time to install them with all the cold and the wetness- less snow, more rain, even though it's zero degrees only. Well, technically weather had been fine until three days ago, and there also was plenty of time to do that job, so it's solely husband's fault. All around houses seem to get brighter each passing night. People won't wait with Christmas lights until Advent starts. Fine with me, not on my electricity bill. What I miss is stylish decoration- there's lots of Santas doing wall climbing and not nearly enough green in form of wreaths and garlands...
I have unpacked the first box with mostly wooden Christmas decoration. Was thoroughly tempted to sort all Santas out. Then again, Flavius and Cassian believe that Santa's bringing presents. Okay, it's more that Flavius does believe but Cassian not so much anymore. DiL handles the situation with care. Reads them the story of Christmas, the boys have their own nativity scene to replay it (so much fun to listen to them). No moș crăciun at the crib. And no Christkind save baby Jesus. Which reminds me that last time the boys were here hubby forbade Cassian to go to the basement, because mysterious things might be down there aka he had not yet found a place to securely store the presents we had bought for our grandchildren. Flavius immediately volunteered to get to the bottom of said mystery, because his career wish is to become a researcher. Pretty damn smart this one!
Hubby was at number two's all afternoon, helping to install the new washbasin. I waved him goodbye, hung the washing up, turned the TV on and had a lengthy afternoon nap on the couch. I have earned it- woke at three thirty in the morning and was up from then on. Already practising getting up at this ungodly time more often...
