Busy
Since I had been sort of lazy the last week I decided to start the day with a kitchen raid- after breakfast, of course. I can tell you that this gets best done with husband out of the house. Each item I dragged out of the cupboards and labelled for binning got examined, and the moment I left the room a lot of them got brought to the basement. Because, you know, we or the children might need it one day. Debating is useless, but there will come the day, when I go down, take those items and will not use them but put them straight into the bin. Preferably on the day before the bin will be emptied out, even if I will have to be the one who drags the darn thing to the top end of the street! I was occupied with sorting and wiping for quite a while. Cooking was easy, we had camembert soup with baguette, and while the cheese melted I finished the jigsaw with only minimal problems, such as three pieces having deserted under the rug.
After-lunch rest was cut short by number four´s call, who needed some information concerning theory of music. Hubby´s long-winded explanations would have come too late, when one has a theory test in the late afternoon, and since I taught basic music theory once son thought he´d take the shortcut. There was no more time for resting for me- now it was sister mine who announced her imminent visit, together with her husband. Oh dear, I thought, and quickly cleaned the dining table from breadcrumbs- forgot to do so after lunch in my haste to get up to the bedroom for a much-needed nap (which I did not get, even though I got up at seven and was thoroughly exhaused at two in the afternoon). Sis stayed until hubby left for Carmina Burana. She was a bit miffed, because she had wanted to go, too, but all three performances were sold out. Everyone wants to go there, even DiL2, that´s why hubby and I will have the boys tomorrow for an overnight stay. Which also means that I will have to clean the studio- at the moment there´s slides and wool and loo paper rolls (the inner part) spread all over the room...
