Lady Vaire is not amused...

Lady Vaire is on a self-imposed strict diet, since Mr. Aldi decided to stop the production of her favourite sort of cat food. Lady Vaire prefers the tins with tiny pieces of meat in it, but all she will get now is pâté and pâté again. Lady Vaire does not like pâté, so she starves of her own free will safe when her tin opener decides to defreeze some meat, then she will turn into a master thief in the blink of an eye. A few days ago Lady Vaire had chicken, while tin opener´s family had rice with peas. Then tin opener had chicken, and Lady Vaire was left with nothing. She wreaked revenge on her employee by consuming half of the Cyperus zumula, afterwards disgorging grass and hairballs and ...She thinks tin opener has learned her lesson and will put some meat aside for Lady Vaire next time, to avoid further accidents. Lord Namo is enthusiastic, because he has studied tin opener´s feeding habits, she always puts two bowls on the floor and comes back two minutes later to take away what´s left of the food. Lord Namo only has to gobble a tad faster, and he will get two portions of cat food, because tin opener is too slow to stop him in time. Lord Namo thinks he will achieve record weight very soon.

Message from tin opener: a new brand of meaty cat food has been found, and Lady Vaire deems it worth eating. Lord Namo had an accident this morning, when he tried to hide his own bowl under his sagging belly while munching away his sister´s food, this way keeping Lady Vaire from getting her rightful fill of meaty cat food. He was hit by a very wet wash cloth and had to take flight, much to his regret. Record weight will have to wait, but postponed is not abandoned!

Oh - we used to have a cat like that - and one who realised that, if you got to the food first, eating alternate mouthfuls from each bowl meant there was always equal amounts in each when his mate joined him...
