Boring holiday
National holiday today, so all shops are closed and there´s not much to do except for a bit more pruning in the garden and awful things like cleaning the fridge. I am not made for strolls, especially not the long ones husband mine envisions, because my back hurts way too much even during a short walk. And there´s another reason why I won´t walk with him.- hubby is not walking but running. So I dismissed my husband and began the dreaded process of emptying out the fridge, while he happily sauntered off. The new cleaning agent I had bought a few days ago worked miracles, and cleansing was finished after less than half an hour- record time! Hubby came back with a bottle of plum brandy he had bought during his walk up the hill. I was already having the fifth coffee of the day when he came in. Not that he would have been of help, our kitchen is too narrow for two persons working in there. But it was nice to see that he had felt a bit bad at having left me working while he was having fun. I sent him out into the garden to dig a hole for the gnarled apple tree. Tiny Tim is still standing, so we needed another place to plant it. Those apples are so tasty that I won´t keep the tree confined to an albeit big pot. Tree is still in the pot, because hubby has to bring back some tool he needs for digging (too many stones in the soil), but two third of the work is done... You see, I am quite experienced at getting revenge- being married for almost 44 years makes me an expert in matrimonial warfare!
