What happened to the close-knit community of Tolkien fanfic writers? Obviously the Hobbit did not prompt their muses to take over control, as it was with Peter Jackson´s Lord of the rings trilogy. Come on, the film wasn´t that bad! And Thranduil the Illustrious is worth the trouble of writing, isn´t he?
