No, I´m not talking about the multinational electronics company, but my son´s cat. One devilishly clever cat, I must say. One that goes with my Vaire only too well. Please get me right, those two cat devils usually cannot stand each other, unless it comes to causing havoc. Then they are inseparable. They open the doors of the supply cabinets, gorging on catfood and other delicacies, Namo in tow, of course, who is by far the most dreaded glutton, they chase moths and other insects regardless of how much of the household stuff is destroyed in their wake, they rip out cables and sever internet connections, unravel my knitting projects, know exactly where I´ve stored things that I do not deem convenient for cats, and even if I catch them in time, before they plunder my stock of embroidery thread, and store the things elsewhere, they soon get a hold of it. Yesterday they outdid themselves by finding out how to deactivate the fly screens. Yes, screens. As soon as I found my cats outside the house, I ushered them back with cat treats, closed the window where they had demolished the fly screen - and had to perplexedly watch how those lunatics ruined the next one by pressing their tiny bottoms against the bottom edge of the screen, until the net popped out of the frame. So no more open windows in the house, until my son fetches devil cat number two, and I retrieve my children´s water gun for Vaire, who hates water like the plague. Ah yes, did I mention that tomorrow temperatures will rise above 30 degrees once more? And all the windows will have to stay closed for the next three days? Maybe I should imprison the cats in the bathroom instead and not worry at all.
