Oscar night
Since it's Oscar night today, which unfortunately starts here at one on Monday morning, I tried to sleep in. No chance, idiot neighbours were already up and running, even though the real racket started at ten only. I got up at half past seven, immediately seeing that cat had not fed kibbles during night, which she usually does, but puked on the sofa instead. Half of the pillows went into the washing machine, which is not nice at all. After all I am supposed to sleep on the sofa, until Oscar broadcasting will start. Now I have Red Bull and chips, but not enough of the cosy pillows that will keep me propped up during my fight against sleep!
I did lunch (spinach-feta kritharaki with chicken) then had a short after-lunch nap. Hubby's tsatsiki had too much garlic in it- not good for a decent sleep, if your digestive system is a bit upset! So not much of pre-sleeping got done in the afternoon, and I bet that I won´t have much time to pre-nap in the evening, between hubby´s regular evening thriller and the broadcast. The last Oscar nights hubby always stayed up longer than usual... a way to show his displeasure of me staying off the marital bed?
I have begun to save all my photos on a new external hard disk drive, since sister told me that my nephew had lost practically all of his photos, when his brand new mobile had a system failure. He had never saved any but only transferred them to the new mobile. It would have cost him 1500 Euro to recover the photos, money he did not have. He´s a student and did not think what parents are there for- to help out, if worst comes to worst! I won´t pay money to Dropbox and the like, not even if they continue to torpedo me with messages like ´your Dropbox is full, please upgrade´ every day. Not that they won´t try their luck anyway. Problem is that it takes so long to copy the huge amount of photos- I sent hubby into the cellar to have a look at the heating- it´s barely 17 degrees in the studio, so something has to be seriously wrong!
