Back to hysteria
Now that the German soccer team got finally eliminated (halleluja, their games were really tedious to watch, not that the Brits did cover themselves in glory) and most fans are back in the country Mrs Merkel and her virologists fear the worst concerning Corona and its latest mutation. Maybe they should have thought about it beforehand? Too many people in one place, that´s recipe for disaster! Already children from six years on will have to do testing before they get allowed into a public pool. Or a zoo. Or a museum. Or a restaurant. Then there´s the plan that home testing will not be allowed anymore. What a summer! Bad enough that we have to spend it with three Gs and masks inside, yet it is said that some of the easings should better be taken back, and that maybe some borders might get closed faster than we think. I hope that my friend and I will have time enough for some big shopping tours before all goes down the drain again. Goods are way cheaper in Germany! But for German politicians it´s always other countries who cause the rising of corona numbers or bring in new mutations. And Mr. Söder is a hardcore hysterical and unfortunately the one who is responsible for Bavaria. My sister lives in Munich and is on high alert already. Well, she must know, she is still involved in politic scene. She got her second jab only yesterday, which will allow her to get into Austria but might cause problems when going back. We wanted to celebrate our birthdays in August together, but we are no more sure about it. Maybe there´ll be a big family party in July, before Söder hits the panic button!
Weather has turned from hot to cold. In the morning the sun was shining and I thought that maybe it was not that bad after yesterday´s storm, until I had a look at the thermometer- eleven degrees. Highest we had was fifteen today, but now that it has started to come down in buckets temperature is dropping again, and are down to eleven again. I think we are back to the funny "Pump out the Pool" game! Poor Cassian, he so wanted to go swimming tomorrow! Btw, storm blew my citrus trees straight into the grapevine. Took me half an hour in the pouring rain to separate the plants, and barefooted at that, because foot still does not fit into my shoe, and flip-flops were nowhere to be found!
