All tired apart from one little girl

Last warm day for a week (or more) spent with family around the pool. DiL came with grandchild number four and a water melon as big as little Cassian himself. Best thing to eat during a warm pool day, though I had to show DiL number three how to do honey sesame chicken- by using three and a half pound of chicken to feed the gang. In the morning hubby had to drive to Kufstein together with aunt Lil, to get her last things out of the flat, do a short cleaning ( no mess in her room because she has spent only a few weeks in there, because, you know, corona...), but they were back for a late lunch. Both Elsa and Cassian were in the pool with arm floats only all day long and were doing astonishingly well. In the afternoon they paddled in the pool like profs. But swimming and playing made all of us tired, and we will go to bed soon. Besides, the night might get interesting concerning more thunderstorms, and heavy ones this time. I hear Elsa howling in the guestroom, so I'll better have a look at what she's up to. That girl is not made for sleeping, much to the chagrin of her poor mother...

Those who think they can wear children off have obviously never had to take care of any kiddies...

Oh, we have worn them off, but too much is never a good thing!

That sounds like a good way to spend the day.

I sympathise with all concerned if Elsa is a child not made for sleeping. My daughter was like that all through her childhood.

Only number four was really bad in this field. Number five did not need much sleep, too, but she knew how to kill time until it was time to get up, be it by silently getting up and make a cup of chocolate, or read a book around midnight. She was five then....
