Hubby did the grocery buy today, while I drove to the vet, to pick up Namo´s medication (Finally! Took them long enough to get it!) and did a tour to the only bigger toy store we have near- if a 20 kilometre drive can be considered near, then so be it. Since young Cassian is the master of (involuntary) destruction, hubby decided that it was about time to confiscate some of the more elaborate dinosaurs and give him Duplo instead. Only that we have given away all of the Duplo our last two children had in possession, and the new one I bought went with Elsa. Her cries of outrage, when she was ordered by her pa to leave it behind, still make my ears ring. So grandson has a brandnew set of blocks and dinosaurs to play with, and he indeed is playing peacefully in the conservatory. He is still feeding the horses to his dinosaurs- what on earth did the little one watch with his pa that makes him think dinos would eat other animals? Must have been Jurassic park or the like, which is not what a two-year-old is supposed to watch on TV! So I have time aplenty to prepare a small buffet for dinner, with shrimps, salmon and some of hubby´s highly praised mangalitsa bacon. I do not often indulge in bacon, but this one is fabulous. Soon the young one will get picked up by his father and be off- or not, depends on if number two sees the buffet. In case he does I have bought wienies for Cassian. Outside it is cold enough that hubby not only started the floor heating but also made a fire in the wood burning stove. The groundfloor feels cosy, the upper floor not so much. Good that I do not have to do embroidery today, for two reasons- one is that I will have guests soon, and two because I have mislaid my glasses. I hope that those will resurface tomorrow!

According to Murphy's Law your glasses will resurface in the exact moment you give up on them and start doing something else...
Your lunch buffet sounds nice. :)

Once upon a time I bought a whole collection of Lego's Fabuland — with little animal figurines, buildings you had to construct from the parts given in one box, and a small story about the animal in each box. My students sometimes visited me, just to play with them. Then I gifted the whole thing on the kids of a friend (I was the godmother of the kids, at least on paper, because the actual godparents weren't Catholic), which I regretted a bit afterwards. I never saw the kids playing with it; it most likely ended up in some box and forgotten.

Anything that can go wrong will go wrong- how true! I was looking for the glasses twice during night, because I could not find the nosedrops. And the asthmy spray. I am a blind hen without glasses, and even more (can one be more than blind, like double blind?) when I have to look for those things in the dark of the night, because hubby greatly dislikes to be confronted with light during night. In the morning I found all three, but not at the place they were supposed to be. Wow, I did the rhyming thing again-and twice at that!
