Fun indeed

I made it home at eleven PM last night. Friend and I only left the pub when it was closing time, which unfortunately is 10 o´clock in Bavaria. Not that I had drunk alcohol, that´s impossible when you have to do a one hour tour back home. But there was so much to talk about! At least now I know why I am not fond of doing phone calls. Whatsapp video phone calls are not working properly where I live (though some say otherwise), but I need a face to talk to, one that does not disappear every minute! I tend to overhear that the one on the other end of the line still wants to tell me something important, while I have already begun to wear her/him down again. I need to see a face to know when or how long to stop myself from rattling on. If you had a talk with me on a phone you´d regard me as impolite, though I really do not want to be. So seeing my friend in person was the best moment I´ve had for a long time. No awkward moments, when it dawns on me that once again I have forgotten to rein me in. Now that my friend had her booster shot she can get into our country without getting tested- PCR tests are often not free but quite expensive instead in Germany. We´ll be able to meet more often, so less awkward phone calls. Phew!
Today daughter and I drove to the Chinese supermarket while hubby did lunch. There´s no parking spot in front of the market, you have to use the fee-based car park- only that today said car park was closed and we had to make use of the underground car park. Not good when you have to carry bags and boxes twice as far as usual! We spent 120 Euro on groceries and a Japanese omelette pan. I have been searching for this one for a long time on Amazon. The ones I found came from China and Japan, so I´d have to pay toll, and not an insignificant amount either! Oh, we love our EU! No more parcels for free! This organisation has also managed to kill Youtube for European users. You´ll need an age verification by passport or credit card for a lot of clips, even totally harmless ones. Fun thing is that Youtube has no qualms to bring promotion of zombie video games into clips for children. Had that when watching Fireman Sam with Cassian. He was watching, I was napping, but only until I heard the zombies bellowing along. Oops! That was a near thing! I had the same when I tested a clip which promised to make me fall asleep easily. It might have worked, had not the zombie brigade woken me quite harshly! Maybe I will try another video tonight. Let´s see how long it takes until the first round of advertisments will kill the tranquil feel of the clip!

No more parcels for free is the bane of my existence, too. Not so long ago I had to pay an outrageous toll for a little gift from England, barely larger than my palm (admittedly, I've got large hands). And even worse than the zombie clips on YouTube are the horrid political ads when all I want is to play a nice game of Solitary online. Of course, always speaking for the right wing...

Mercifully no political ads here! But there are other oddities! Did you realise that not that long ago short advertising clips lasted five seconds. Now we are up to seven each, plus there are many which last up to thirty seconds- every few minutes! All I watch now is tutorials!
