Madness

 Son, hubby and I have worked hard to have everything under control- lunch for family one consisted of the leftovers of our Christmas ham, mashed potatoes and salad. But then son warmed the sauce in the microwave, which blowed the glass bowl, and I had to do a quick wine-honey sauce. It took ages for DiL to finish her meal- no wonder with two teeth missing and another two fixed with some sort of splint. In the afternoon Elsa and Matthäus went to the TV nook while the adults had coffee and cake in the living room. Since son and DiL should have been in attendance I did not have a look at what the two were watching. Turned out that it was HP 7. Not exactly what children aged six and three are supposed to watch. And it gets even better- they were watching part eight, too. At some point I took the remote and turned the TV off. Instant upheaval followed, but there are rules to follow in this house. I do not need shrieks of terror during night, because the two rascals have bad dreams. And if Elsa shrieks, all in the house will wake. Damn, I so need my beauty sleep!
