To those with cats: I need advice, as soon as possible ( at least before I go and strangle my cats). Since I have begun to feed our former neighbour´s four cats, in case the lady who originally was entrusted with that task is absent again, my cats´ behaviour has changed drastically: they are less affectionate, picky of a sudden when it comes to cat food, they fight with each other all day long, and when they miraculously do not fight, they search for the neighbour cats´ kibble. And they pee: onto piles of laundered clothes, into flower pots, on plastic bags. The male one even climbs into the cat toilet, puts his posterior out and urinates directly in front of the litter box. The litter box is cleared out twice a day. Today I had to mop the bathroom floor thrice. And when I was finally done and went back to the living room, one of the cats had pooped into the ash tray, right in the middle of it. That does it. My cats get their fair share of affection, the cat tray is clean, I buy the food they liked before, but I won´t give them dry cat food, as I do with guest cats. I have paid money enough to cure the cystitis they got from it. I have a good mind to grab them and chase them out ot the house. Only that we do have a lot of fast driving cars there. I´d really like to know if they are misbehaving because they have to share my affection with other cats, and if there is a remedy for that.

Today I found my cat....in the cellar, not locked to this day, unwrapping food in the store room.
....in the kitchen, wolfing down parts of the midday meal.
....in my bed room, shredding my bed sheets.
....on my work desk, gnawing at the 30 Euro pompom of my daughter´s beanie.
....in my daughter´s room, sorting out the content of her collection of trinkets.
....in my son´s room, creating a nest in his bed drawer.
....in the cellar, still not locked, devouring the rest of the food.
When she had finished with wreaking havoc she crawled into my visitor´s hand-bag and took a nap. Something must be seriously wrong with this cat.

Guess what! Life sucks! The dog´s cough was water in the lungs, my companion of the last decade will not be much longer. I wish I could have talked to the vet, but I had to spend the day in hospital, because my fits of dizziness have returned full tilt. Can´t even pick up the things my daughter has dropped accidentally. As I said before, life sucks.

In five hours I have to be at the vet to put down my favourite cat. She turned seven recently, not old for a cat. But for one and a half year we have had a fight against epilepsy and vomit. On tuesday, Nienna had another seizure, and, suddenly, there was blood. A lot of. I´ve been at the vet daily, I´ve consulted a second one, did another x-ray. Apparently, there is internal bleeding, which cannot be stopped. I wanted the children have time to say farewell to their cat, but I have to confess, I am a mess.

PS: Cat has got three days to get better, vet decided to wait.
PPS: Cat did not want three days more, but has to wait for release until monday now. I´m sad. I should not have hesitated. Sometime the unspeakable has to be done,or your own selfishness  hurts another creature.

Just came home from a prolonged stay in hospital and detected that my dog has not devoured the food. This is kind of alarming. My dog is a living vacuum cleaner. The vet found a lump on her oesophagus. I´m a nervous wreck now.
