Bad jigsaw

Blessedly my recent and very strange movie watching habits did not influence my dreams- I have slept like a log during the last nights. But, of course, I did get up a bit earlier than usual, having a quiet breakfast, reading the dailies, and when hubby got up I already had started doing housework. I finished quite early, since no grandchildren had been here to turn everything upside down for some days- sorry, Oscar and Xaver, but your cousins are well aware that doing a visit also includes tidying away the things one has played with! Not even hubby had dared to bring anyone in! Daughter and I watched the final HP, the task she had set for herself must have been to frighten me as often as possible- and she succeeded! Then we had a look into the Grindelwald series and said no, thanks. Daughter had wanted to return back to her flat before lunch, alas, her parcel from Amazon was late, very late. The guy who was delivering must have had a very long break, the signal of his car did not move for nearly an hour. Maybe late lunch time, who knows, those guys have a hard job to carry out! When the parcel was here, it was almost evening. Daughter left in a hurry, she has still a lot of work to do for college!
Hubby was quite mad at me when I told him that he should not do grocery shopping twice a day then rant that we have too much food at home. He wants to cook, but only things that need a lot of things involved we do not have here. So when I told him that in at least eighty percent one could replace one item by another one he was miffed- sorry, I did not tell him to cook from scratch, but would it have been that hard taking dried mushrooms instead of fresh ones? And, for once, he could have replaced arborio rice with sushi rice, of which we have aplenty in the house. But no, as always...
Hubby had to go to family number one in the afternoon, to watch over Xaver, whose parents had a date with the headmaster of the primary school. Xaver did not do so well at the entrance test, but that´s solely his mother´s fault, who treated him like a baby five long years then decided that she had had enough baby but needed a schoolboy all of a sudden. All is good now, he will enter the first class and not the preschool. Good luck with this endeavour!
I started a new jigsaw in the afternoon, and daughter helped me sort the border pieces out. I must say that I never possessed a jigsaw so lousily manifactured. Two pieces out of ten needed instant trimming, because the backside came partially loose. The carpet soon was covered with tiny, blue flakes of paper, and there´s more to come! Something went seriously wrong with the process of punching I fear! I am contemplating to write a complaint letter to Santa, who brought me the jigsaw...
