Loud, louder, loudest
Feb. 10th, 2024 07:17 pm Today has been the day with the second most landings on our airport, and since we had foehn- a warm wind from the south which makes temperatures climb rapidly and my brain hurt- the airplanes were starting in the direction of our house. The ruckus started at six in the morning and perfectly replaced the new loud we get from the only male cat here which is not fixed. At the moment the planes still drown the he-cat´s love (but not lovely) songs out, but at eleven PM, when the airport closes, things will turn to his advantage. Both hubby and I had two rough nights in a row, having to listen to the definitely not bel canto- one more reason why I have a headache. And I am sort of distracted- I did not even make it into Livejournal for half an hour, because after watching some Tantanmen ramen recipes on Youtube I inadvertently typed Tantanmen for password, and twice at that, hence the wait. LJ does not tolerate such nonsense- time penalty!
Hubby tried to turn my menue plan for today´s lunch upside down by buying Brussel sprouts. Not on my watch, husband dearest! Today it was champignons, bought only yesterday and not reduced in price, which needed imminent processing. Same with the mungbean sprouts- I had to precook them for tomorrow, or they´d die in the fridge. I will do a huge pot of Tantanmen ramen for us and the guests, and hubby can put some Brusseler sprouts into his bowl- if he boils himself some, with the windows open (I cannot stand the smell). We will be six adults, and number one plus Oscar showing up for a brief visit, to thank aunt Lil for the birthday present. Number four will be missing the party- he is sick and will only come on Wednesday. Too bad- he´s the one aside from number two who knows the laws of the game best. I am dead sure that DiL number two won´t let me keep my son for one night of football! Today I will go to bed early and try to catch up on sleep. Next night will be a long one. Last year I only missed the halftime show, which I used for a quick nap. This time we will be three in front of the TV, so no napping,
