[protected post]First Sunday of Advent

To honour this first Advent Sunday hubby made me leave the house when I finally was about start the annual cookie baking and drove us to a Christmas market, a special one we never had visited before. Highly likely this was the one and only time I was there, because being confined to a small cabin of a cable pulley when outside a storm is raging is not exactly what I had planned for the day. After a very bumpy trip to the top station at 1700 metres sea level we did a quick tour around in a downpoor, bought an overpriced but very interesting nutcracker then swiftly returned to the top station to get a cabin back down. Half an hour later they had to close the service. I wonder if all of the people made it down in time.

And now that we are back home again I proudly present this year´s Advent wreath, done by me in a workshop my friend found for the two of us. The course instructors, owners of a small flower shop, usually do four beautifully decorated wreaths in the space of one hour, we did one in two hours, but of course these ladies have to get the things they need by themselves while we had staffers bringing baubles and candles and ribbons, and to be honest, a great part of the workshop was spent with drinking punch and eating cookies. I am quite pleased with the result, yet my thumb complains about a dumb lady fixing her own fingers to fir twigs with a hot glue gun. Maybe next time I will consider the use of work gloves!
