All good things come in threes
Jun. 5th, 2021 02:11 pmOur circle of friends is made up of three groups of persons. First there are those who do not take the danger of Covid lightly and mostly stay at home out of fear to catch the virus, that´s why we haven´t seen each other for real for many months now. Second there are those who have mixed feelings about the dangerous nature of the virus (they must know, there are some doctors and politicians among them) but haven´t been able to come and visit because of the barriers between our countries. The last group are those who do not give a shit about Covid, are found in places I would not dare to visit, their house is full of guests most of the time and they refuse vaccination. The last group I have practically banned from our home. I am not a Covid hysteric, but no thanks, I won´t play the host to this darn virus only because those friends won´t abide any Covid rules. They simply do what they have done all the time, live life to the fullest. Funny thing that none of the last group has ever caught the sickness, while I know at least five persons from the other groups who got infected. Life is not fair, has never been...
Today is the day when I will meet my sister plus family. I also will meet son number two and Cassian (again). And because all good things come in threes my daughter´s friend from school will come also. Daughter mine has cleared her wardrobes (she has three), and Vanessa will pick out the things she likes, before the bags wander to Caritas. Then ma and daughter will have to do a shopping trip for new clothes. From now on it´s jeans and shirts only. Not a single dress has made it back into the wardrobe...:(( The only problem is that we do not have enough cake now, and hubby had to go through the content of our freezer to find that one cake he had put into the bowls of one of the three of them. But he did it, and cake is now bathing in the sunlight to defrost in time, a hopeless enterprise now that I had a good look at the clouds in the skye and what is looming behind the mountain range. Rejoice, the time of thunderstorm has finally come upon us! Mercifully the living room is big enough for all of us, and Cassian still can spread his fleet of cars on the floor. We only have to be careful not to tread on one, least of all on a fire engine. Did do so some time ago, and the howls of distress did not stop until we went to the toy shop and bought a new one...
