What I really want to know
Oct. 3rd, 2021 03:33 pmNow that we are practically stuck at home by three Cs ( Covid, cats, Cassian) I get the feeling that not many things are interesting enough to get my butt out of the house. Even the garden is not much of interest, though today should be the last day with fine temperatures for some time and there´s a lot of work to do. I did prune the grapevine which crashed down during a storm, even found the place where the main stem was bruised so badly that the branches above began to die off. I am not sure if I should saw away this part now or in spring... Do the ups and downs of Covid inflict the same lack of motivation on you? Another thing I wonder is if all husbands get clingy and bossy the moment they retire. I do not mind bossy, because I possess a wicked tongue if things get out of control, but I still haven´t found a remedy against the clinginess, which wears me out at times.
Son will return to Graz today. It was a bittersweet time of saying goodbye to Namo. His cat was asleep most of the time in son´s room, and I did not get to see much of the two, and even less when son´s actual girlfriend came for a visit. I seriously consider to take in another cat. It will get quite lonely in an almost cat-free household when the second leader of the pack will be gone. Vaire cat is Namo´s sister and clearly the chef de maison, but she has her own health problems, just the way it is when you get old. Best cat time was when I had number two´s cats here, too, together with adopted Tuxedo cat. Not completely stress-free, but funny as hell at times...
