Crafting day
Nov. 5th, 2021 06:49 pmOh dear, that was a laborious day! In the morning I decided that I wanted to do a run for red and green pipe cleaners I needed for tiny Advent wreaths to decorate with. Took me quite a long time to find some, fortunately hubby was nice and started to do lunch. My friend came at two in the afternoon, and when we finished it was already dark outside. We did a lot of glueing then began to paint, which was a tedious affair, with some of the paints so viscous that it was hard to spread them on the sticks, and others not covering at all. We will have to do some more crafting sessions to get enough material to decorate the conservatory- means that I will have to replenish my stash of prosecco. I have to admit that we also discussed the way the two of us would proceed in case they put us in another lockdown, because during the second one we weren´t allowed to leave the city area- dumber than dumb, because this way I had to drive twice as long to get to the shops I am used to do grocery shopping, but the nearer ones were out of town! My friend lives not that far apart, but on the other side of the river, in another village. If we will be ordered to stay in town she´ll do a walk to the river, cross the bridge and march to the state road where I will pick her up and bring her to our house. Going back will be the same procedure only in reverse. So glad my friend loves long walks! But we definitely won´t stick to the rules this time, not when quite a lot of those who refuse getting vaccinated do what they want, go where they want and know each and every rat run and hostelry that serves without being allowed to serve while the rest of us sits at home to twiddle thumbs!
