Today I joined husband mine for sunbathing on the terrace. Poor man had been so very unefficient today, even though he had tried so hard. He got up early, unloaded the dishwasher, smashed a coffee cup- can happen to anybody, but hubby is prone to such accidents, that´s why I prefer to do the unloading myself. He planted the new tomatoes, only to have to drag the heavy pots out of the car port again, because he forgot to install the much needed cross bar, which helps against the strong winds we often have. Then he tried to scorch the weeds around the pool, but the gas cartridge was empty after a few minutes of work. And the few minutes of work got mostly spent with relighting the burner, because the wind killed the flame. Not hubby´s day I´d say! So I made him do jigsawing with daughter mine, who was still here, waiting for her Japanse curry. I have to admit that hubby is quite talented at doing jigsaws, but fortunately not in the least interested, or otherwise I´d have to find myself a new hobby.
Weather was quite warm today, and I had to apply a lot of sunscreen on my still wintery-pale skin. Pool water is still way to cold for bathing, though a few neighbours already braved theirs. Hubby and I had coffee outside then started the daily after-lunch nap. While dozing under the sun blind I got bitten twice by a tiny insect- black with red dots, looked like a tiny fly, but I haven´t found it in the WWW. Thanks to our grandchildren we always have Fenistil, Bite-Away and the like in the house, because this bite itches like mad! I´d love to know which insect has bitten me, I´ve never seen the like! I also want to know why it´s always me who gets bitten by insects and never hubby, who spends way more time in the garden!
