Busy

 Son has cancelled today's visit and will try for Thursday instead. He only phoned me in the morning to tell me the news, when I was watching another house demolition video with grandson. Cancelling did not come unexpected, because son hates train rides during holidays- too many people on their way. And he has four free days in a row from Thursday on. Husband felt family- deprived, took today's daily and promptly found that his orchestra did a concert in the nearby town- and talked about it with a former colleague, who promptly did visit us around lunchtime. This house is a madhouse, with hubby as the acting manager- he even considered inviting family number two for lunch-dinner!- and me as their most dangerous psycho (no wonder, who wants to cook for at least twice as many people as supposed all the time). Good thing is that daughter and I will have a quiet evening with hubby off at the concert and no grandchildren in the house for once! We will plow through Amazon's toy world for ideas for another present for Cassian's birthday on Tuesday. Last night was stressful enough with me getting up four times because of the little monster (two times going peepee, two times searching for the blanket). And it did not exactly help that those darn crows did their morning ritual directly in front of the bedroom window again! At least I did not have to do lunch- we had Tantanmen leftovers- but for dinner I had to peel one kilo asparagus. Why does hubby always get the nicer part with cooking- toss the steaks into the frying pan, two minutes each side- ready!
