That´s me to a T
Nov. 7th, 2024 05:23 pm I just managed to delete all my LJ messages in one go- only that I did not even want to do this barbaric act. Too late now, they are all off. I should not play with buttons when I am tired- and tired I am! Fell asleep around 00:30, got up at 2:30, had a first cup of coffee and a crossword puzzle, another coffee with daughter at 3:15 then off we were. Once again it was so foggy that I barely saw what was going on alongside the streets. Even daughter acknowledged that repurposing my car into a mobile Christmas disco was a bad idea. Barely back home I got a message from her- Eurowing check-in system down again. All those errors happen way too often to be a coincidence! The passengers were livid, of course. Hubby was up at 7:30, and I followed him down soon after- it was chimney sweeper day. Ours is a very nice young man- only that he has a booming voice. Believe me, no one will stay asleep the moment he enters the house! Daughter got brought to the town hall for a new passport after work and landed at our house again. She must have heard that I was about to do salmon-shrimps sauce Italian style with spaghetti. At least she earned her lunch by continuing the jigsaw, even though it was almost too dark to do so. Electric light does not help so much when it´s mostly dark colours left to do! Honestly, if I were to chose between fog and foehn I´d gladly take the latter!
After daughter had left I did a bit of knitting then succumbed to napping. With the fog came cool temperatures- it´s only six degrees outside. It is finally time to bring in the lemon plants, even though I had thought I´d be able to finish the jigsaw in the first place then give the conservatory a quick makeover- makeover will have to wait until next spring, weather won´t change much the next days, and lemon trees don´t like the cold (ne, neither)! But the sooner the plants are in place the sooner I will have finished decorating- hubby has dragged all Christmas lanterns down from the attic- our house is in shambles! Good news is that Amazon will deliver what I need not later than Saturday- perfect for crafting with Cassian next Tuesday. That´s when we will have the boys again...
