Now that is totally unexpected...or not
Sep. 9th, 2025 05:30 pm Yesterday evening son called to tell us that we'd have to take care of his offspring, because mummy and daddy both wanted to attend a meeting at school with Cassian's reacher. Strange that I was able to do such parents-teacher conferences without hubby, who had not been present at a single one. I ordered hubby to go over to their house and wait for the parents' return. That will give me a nice evening with the TV programme I like and a sleep-in the next morning- if the boys would sleep at our house we'd have to get up at six thirty. No, thanks...
The ladies aka daughter and friends left Seoul and travelled to Busan. No clue what's to be seen there, but they have a plan. I am patiently waiting for new photos. Until now all I got was sky scrapers, shopping centres, tea houses and discos with karaoke. Oh, to be young and feel life's vibrance...
After housework I bowed out- crocheted a bit, did some crossword puzzles, continued with the jigsaw (found three pieces only). Then I went up to the bedroom to make the beds. I heard a car arriving, but did not think much of it. When I came down, I found my Amazon order on the table. Turned out that the deliverer had not rung the bell but intended to put the parcel on the terrace for deposition, as I had specified in my account. And because the terrace door was wide open the good man put the parcel onto the dining table in the living room- while I was up in the bedroom and hubby down in the basement. Hubby is an oaf, leaving the terrace door open, and the deliverer is one, too. I do not want foreign people in the house, not when I'm absent!
Each time I want to do Korean cooking hubby comes up with something that has to come out of the fridge, thusly torpedoing my intentions. Seriously, if that man will continue with this I will send him back to his siblings in Upper Austria, where he will get meals alla mamma- I am not so fond of Austrian recipes, those are definitely boring and not at all tasty. But I managed to get my revenge by harvesting the last two chillies of the year, which I chopped and put into the chicken ragout. Yup, definitely spicy now:))
Since
wiseheart is diligently doing handicrafts for the Christmas fair at her school I decided to do some planning, too. I will need to go to Tedi again, this time without grandsons. Last time we only spent time admiring Halloween and Christmas decorations. Now I want to go through articles for handicrafting, like beads and ribbons and the like. And I need more of those cute, tiny brooms- first to carry little witches at Halloween, then for a garland for Cassian´s HP tree.So if the weather will be bad tomorrow I might drive off to the next Tedi shop, which unfortunately is 15 kilometres away, the way there plastered with radar sets...
I fear hubby and I are in for a noisy night. Since our weather is changing from acceptable to bad we do have strong winds, even got a wind and rain warning. So while I began to type this entry I noticed a squeaky sound from outside. I opened the window, listened again, there it was. Went downstairs into the garden, sound was off. No, it hasn´t gone away. It´s still there, like something rusty swinging back and forth. Hubby has checked our garden- nothing, so it must come from one of the neighbours. So be warned: I might be writing about squeaky dreams tomorrow...
