Grumpy, grumpy, grumpy
May. 5th, 2019 08:08 pmJust when I thought that putting away my winter clothes was in order- me sorting out most of my long-sleeved shirts and worn-out trousers, putting them into an old-clothes bag and off it was to the rubbish dump- I opened the shutter in the morning and found that it had begun snowing again, not much, but temperatures dropped down to 2 degrees which is abysmal for May. I do not live on the top of a mountain range!

The upper floor of the house is freezing cold, because hubby has started renovation work in the bathroom three weeks ago- the one where the tiles had begun to fall off- and has dismantled the radiator and in the wake of it turned off all heating apart from the underfloor heating on the ground floor. I hate ironing, but today I fired my flat iron up, doing some of hubby´s shirts and trousers to bring a little warmth into the bedroom. I hope that hubby will also be able to mend the leakage in the new water conduit he did work on all day long at soonest, or there´s a chance I will run amok. No heat and no water are too much for me to put up with. That and the many tiny shards of tiles in my bed I find each night, though I spend what feels like eternity with sweeping and vacuuming the floor- each day since hubby began to chisel the tiles off that did not drop down voluntarily, which were many. It´s quite a big bathroom to renovate, about 15 square meters, and by the looks of things we will have a new one at the end of summer. Maybe I shall threaten hubby with me moving to the guestroom, because it´s no fun to wake up during night because another scrap of rubbish has made it under my covers and keeps me awake, because I try and try again to kick it out of my bed! Maybe I am worse than the Princess and the pea, but I haven´t been able to sleep all through the night for three weeks now, often cursing like a sailor when kicking and trashing to get rid of the annoying shards in my bed which miraculously always manifest on my side of the bed!
