Oct. 30th, 2021 01:07 pmNumber three and family arrived around six o´clock, all three of them coughing and sneezing and moaning about a sore throat. Half an hour later son had raided my medicine cabinet- cough syrup, nose drops, Grippostad and insecticum gel for good measure, because Elsa got stung by mosquitos, at home, mark you! All those drugs are in the guestroom now, and most likely used up when they will leave on Monday. I seriously hope that the cold I feel coming on will wait until Tuesday, when pharmacies will be open again, because son even consumed the last piece of ginger I had in my fridge, chewing it to lessen the pain of a sore throat. Of course I could buy more ginger, but the one you get in grocery shops is awful. Mine came from the Chinese shop, was twice as expensive but less spicy.
I was seriously considering chasing out the intruders, in particular sons number three and four. Can't be that those two got into a fight at ten in the evening about what sick Namo cat was allowed to do or not, and where he and his cat sister were supposed to sleep during night. I'd say that a 16 square metre bathroom is big enough to do the trick, while number four insisted on free roaming for the old lad. It's not that Namo would run around much, problem is that he never finds the litter box on free will! Number three was appalled, because he and his family might be the ones to accidentally step into one of Namo´s excrements during night. See, the guestroom is on the main floor next to the guest toilet. Namo uses this toilet for his own pooping, but he always misses the toilet bowl... Son number four won the argument. Namo did roam, but he behaved and used the litter box on the first floor. Good cat!
Cloth shopping for Elsa cost me 70 Euro, but at least she now has a winter jacket and two pairs of jeans to be able to get out of the house, which might do her good. Today evening hubby and I will have toddler duty, because son and DiL want to have a nice dinner in a fancy restaurant. To some degree I understand them, because they live in a small village next to a small town, and have lost their regular babysitter aka DiL´s sister to affairs of love. Such a pity that she has moved out of her old flat and moved into a new one together with her boyfriend- only that the new flat is almost one hour´s drive away now!
