 ...there was snow.

It was supposed to snow a bit during night, but when I had a look out of the bathroom window at six in the morning weather was still calm. I went back to bed to continue with dreaming- oh dear, what a journey I did in this dream, as a schoolgirl in a bus to a town in Poland which looked like an Italien beach resort, an ominous teacher in long, black robes my best friend's of old and my own supervisor, ending up in a luxurious, modern, five storey monastery with male monks from Kenya. When I fetched my clothes for going out to town- trousers, sweater, shoes all in red, said teacher asked me if he should fetch a scythe for him and a trident for me, so that we could do death and devil. That's when I woke up laughing- it was eight thirty in the morning already. And there was snow. Not much, but still. Around lunchtime the sun came out for a short time, but soon it started snowing anew. You already know that I can live without snow. Well, vegetation cannot, not when it's so cold. We are supposed to get down to minus ten or even colder the following nights...
Hubby began to hang up more bird fat balls and put bird seed into pot saucers. Neighbours' cats are no more interested in bird catching but beleaguering the terrace door to get into our house. They aren't fond of cold and snow either. I have made spekulatius tiramisu for coffee time, put it onto the terrace only to notice that it was frozen in record time. I had to reorganise my fridge to keep dessert cool inside the house. Since I found family number three's dark bread hidden in the vegetable drawer and three half-full jars with sour cream I did a simple creamed soup with croutons for lunch, and all of a sudden there was room aplenty in the fridge. After my nap, which I enjoyed dearly, I began with heating the conservatory. I love to sit there near the Christmas trees, the real, big one and it's fake, smaller sibling, candles lightened, incense burner on, and it will be even nicer with my friend. I always feel perplexed when I see the first dumped Christmas trees along the street on Boxing Day. Bad enough that KIK here sold Easter decoration two days before Christmas! The only problem will come in form of idiot neighbour's family. New Year's Eve is looming, and they are pyrotechnics addicts. As soon as it gets dark there will be fireworks. Nothing new, nothing new, this has started the day after Christmas...
