Passport has been located! Due to a misunderstanding embassy in London sent three of the students´ passports back to the wrong destination, my daughter´s one ended up in Vienna, where a friendly employee informed the Austrian branch of the agency at five in the afternoon that "some important documents" had shown up in their office, which apparently had not been tagged correctly. A friendly lady fetched the stray passports and will bring them directly to the airport on Tuesday, because our country is blessed with one of the most outdated postal systems of Europe, means that passport would not have been delivered in time when sent back to the correct adress. We have ultramodern distribution centers, but letters will be sent from A to B pinball-style, means that you have to be patient when waiting for an important shipment, unless the sender is ready to pay additional charge. All will be well now (at least I hope so)!
