Yesterday at ten the world was still in order. Today we have problems. Lots of problems. For instance, when I was about cleaning my teeth for my dentist appointmemt, dental silk was nowhere to be found. As was the set of nail files. And the nail scissors. Will have to do inventory audit as soon as possible. Apropos: Dentist told me he would never ever let his daughter leave for a semester abroad. I told him that his words were a sure indicator that in his case a semester abroad for his daughter was of particular importance. I´d say he was a bit flabbergasted but ke kept me in his customer file. That´s good, because he´s really good in his job!

I think you are absolutely right.

My brother in law was quite annoyed on one occasion when I said I thought time away (in this case in college) was very good for them once they were in their mid/late teens. But my daughter is the one who is happily independent about travel anywhere, his was the one who said, aged 24, that she wouldn't be able to cope travelling by train in the Uk in case she got on the wrong one....

He still picks his daughter up from bus, to escort her home (about 2oo metres). She is twelve now!
