Thank you, Maurice
May. 17th, 2012 08:27 pmDid you know that I hardly ever watch TV? Usually I spend my evenings with preperations for school, reading, writing....and in the background, TV is delivering its messages. Donna Summer died, she did not have any influence on me, I was a classical music child, but it´s still a loss, because she died too early.I hate cancer. But the moment I heard of her death, I remembered I had forgotten something important. Then the scales fell from my eyes.I never told people how much I loved the books of Maurice Sendak. I read "Where the wild Things are", when I was five, and my children read it at the same age.His illustrating was brilliant, he was the bright star of our childhood. He will be thoroughly missed."I cry a lot because I miss people. They die and I can´t stop them. They leave me and I love them more." he said once. Now it´s me who feels like crying, because this quote describes what´s going on in my life.
