Nov. 7th, 2012 02:04 pmUsually, I don´t talk about politics in public, but today I´ll make an exception. Thank God for small mercies, Barack Obama has been reelected. So why do I take the small mercies literally? Because not much will change in Amiland, if you consider the stalemate between senate and House of Representatives. At least, Romney is history. A few of his utterances would have brought him straight into jail in good old Europe. In his case, I´d prefer the funny farm. Way more effective! You sense a certain dislike of Republican-centric attitude? Maybe, maybe not. Not all Romney said, was bad, and a few ideas of Obama I´ll better not comment. It was an election, usually done between two candidates, hopefully not the often costumary "My grandfather has been Republican, my father has been one, so I am one, too!" , same goes for Democrats. What I absolutely detested was Romney´s twisting and turning until nothing was left of his original personality to make himself eligible for multiple constituencies. Hey, Walt, hey, Annie, what´s the outcome of the election in Arizona? Bet you are hopping mad, having to get along with Obama the next four years. No, I am not out off my tree, I am talking to my remaining relatives there, fierce Republicans, dreadfully fierce Republicans, to be precise. No wonder that family relationships have gone down the drain!
